About Me
My Beginning
I grew up mostly in Ashland Oregon in the deep snow. My mother says that I have been creating Art ever since I could hold a pencil. Growing up my favorite mediums were chalk pastels, oil pastels only when watercolor was involved and charcoal. I did not really enjoy painting until I was out of high school and finding the time to create was a bit difficult.
My Favorite Work
My favorite art form to work in is sculpture. I love to help people build their own customized sculpture pieces and repair or rebuild broken heirlooms. Working in 3D makes it easier to come up with painting compositions off the cuff. I enjoy brain storming with my clients on their wants and desires when it comes to Art. Sometimes the hardest thing for an artist to do is figure out their own personal style or way of creating Art. The possibilities are endless.
My Life Today
Today I reside in Arizona which is very different from what I grew up with. Although I miss the snow I feel I have acclimated nicely to the 115 degree summers and it has help broaden my subject matter when it comes to painting landscapes. As of today, I have been creating Art for over 40 years and teaching Art for over 20 years. I am truly grateful for the people I meet and am so overjoyed being able to help anyone in their art endeavors. It brings true joy and contentment in my life.
